It has been almost 2 or 3 years since i have ever posted in this blog or site. After i quit aikido something towards the end of 2013, i have been not been doing any type of training since then. I lost focus in martial arts ever since. Not until towards the end of 2015, where i joined Enshin Karate. Enshin Karate was founded by Kancho Joko Ninomiya in the 1980s. Having trained in Kyokushin with Hideyuki Ashihara, Joko Ninomiya combined his techniques with his Judo training, to form Enshin Karate. Soon after, he moved to the US to open up a dojo, which now, stands as the Hombu in Denver, Colorado.
I joined this small class headed by 1 sensei, who was taught by a direct student of Kancho. However, since my intentions were not there, i only stayed there for a few months. However, sometime around October 2016, i joined him back and have been training ever since. I had the opportunity of meeting Kancho when he came here for a short seminar sometime in November 2016. He was really patient with the students, especially me ! Since i was just a beginner and did not know many techniques. He english was not really understandable but that was not a big issue.
